Genesis 2:22-24

International Standard Version

²²Then the Lord God formed the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man. ²³So the man exclaimed,

“At last! This is
    bone from my bones
        and flesh from my flesh.
This one will be called ‘Woman,’
    because she was taken from Man.”^[a]

²⁴(Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother and cling to his wife, and they will become one flesh.)
